Women Grow, LLC seeks a Controller who has a CPA and strong supervisory experience in the accounting and finance fields. This position will be reporting to the COO. Risk management experience and prior work in the membership & networking fields would be desirable while strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls is required.

This position is paid hourly to start, with equity compensation available.

  • Guiding the company’s budgeting process
  • Manage an outsourced accounting service (InDinero)
  • Calculate job costs
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures
  • Review and establish internal controls
  • Provide high level financial analysis
  • Make recommendations to management
  • Prepare forecasts and long term financial plans
  • Develop performance metrics
  • Implement best practices
  • Look for the “story” behind the numbers and relay this to the COO
  • Provide Board Financials
  • Report on Budget to Actuals
  • Coordinate tax process
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
  • Code all transactions by name and account
  • Process journal entries
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable (GAAP)
  • Maintain historical records by filing documents electronically
  • Prepare financial reports monthly
  • Maintain records of vendor relations and statuses
  • Perform ad hoc assignments as requested pertaining to company needs
