The Director of Sales is responsible for the company’s overall sales strategy and supervises a sales team in California, New Mexico and Washington. Also responsible for sales efforts in joint venture labs being developed in various jurisdictions. This individual reports to the President and works closely with the Team Leaders in Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Science, Accounting and Software Development to implement an efficient, growth-driven sales program.
Developing in-depth knowledge of the Cannabis Industry, customers and competition.
Develop and implement sales strategy to achieve corporate goals.
Serving as a liaison for the company with online distribution platforms.
Managing performance analysis and sales forecasting.
Implement sales reporting to formulate performance-driven sales team processes.
Measuring marketing promotional efficiency.
Tracking and managing Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
Ensuring the efficient communication between the internal team and customers.
Salesforce administration, data integrity and timeliness.
Providing leadership and training activities to achieve Salesforce optimization.
Assisting in the development of the overall marketing plan.
Event, conference and trade show planning, logistics and management.
Professionally represent the company at industry events.
Write sales pitches and support materials.
Develop, manage and cultivate key accounts.
Provide Sales Strategy to Licensees.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical and product-related information in a
professional consultative manner.
3-5 years of sales leadership experience (Director / Manager / VP) in Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Cannabis, Pharmaceuticals or a relevant industry.
Proficiency with Salesforce, required.
Must be, or become an active member of Women Grow.
Proven ability to plan and execute a sales strategy that generates and develops new business
while maintaining and nurturing the existing customer base.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to adapt to rapid change and utilize newly emerging technology solutions such as
ZenDesk, Zero, Slack, Power BI, as well as, company built ERP (MyLab).
Willingness to travel throughout the United States, as needed.
Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
Likeable, engaging and willing to work in a collaborative environment.
High level of integrity, organized, and motivated with a sense of urgency.
Willingness to work occasional weekends and after-hours for educational business meetings,
trade shows, events and presentations.
